The Art of Parenting Teenagers
September 15 @ 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The teen phase can be challenging for children as they are exposed to the world of variety in company, experience, learning and decisions. As they learn to become independent thinkers and decision makers and fit in with their peers, they are also looking for support and validation from their family and unsure of how they can do both.
The teen phase can also be an equally confusing and challenging phase for the parents as they support children with rapidly changing expectations. As children grow from infants to toddlers to teens and adults the role of parents also evolves.
Swami Aparokshanandaji, the resident teacher at Chinmaya Mission Melbourne, will discuss how to navigate the complex maze of parenting teens in a society of mixed cultures. Swamiji is equally adored by kids and adults. Swamiji draws insights from the vedas and his own experience from his time at Melbourne High, to teach the Art of Parenting Teenagers.
The talks are limited to 60 spots.
